Why GoSit

Independent means independent.

You are not an employee. You run your own caregiving work, and GoSit provides the marketplace, scheduling, messaging and payments around it.

  • You set your rate

Decide what you charge for each service you offer. Families see it before they message you.

  • You choose your hours

Publish when you are free. Accept or decline every request. Nobody schedules you.

  • Families come to you

Your experience and certifications are on your profile, so the people who message you already know what you offer.

  • Paid for the time you work

Check in and out from your phone. Your payout follows the clock, with every fee shown in one clear statement.

Getting started

From sign-up to your first booking.

Checks exist to protect the families you will work with, and to show them you can be trusted.

  1. 01

    Create your profile

Tell families who you are, what you offer and where you work. It takes a few minutes.

  2. 02

Sign the agreement and get checked

Accept the Caregiver Service Agreement and complete the checks for the care you offer: identity, plus a vulnerable-sector check for care of people.

  3. 03

Add what makes you stand out

Upload certifications such as First Aid and CPR. Our team reviews them before they show on your profile.

  4. 04

    Start accepting bookings

Once you are listed, families can find you, message you and ask for a video interview.

What you will need: government photo ID, and consent to a background check for the care you offer. Caregivers are responsible for their own insurance. We will tell you what is expected for the services you choose.

Questions caregivers ask

The honest answers.

Including what independent means, and what you are responsible for.

Am I a GoSit employee?

No. You are an independent caregiver. You set your own rate, choose your own hours and accept or decline every request. GoSit provides the marketplace, scheduling, messaging and payments, but does not direct how you provide care.

What do I need to get listed?

Create a profile, accept the Caregiver Service Agreement, and complete the checks for the kind of care you offer: identity verification plus a vulnerable-sector check for care of people, or identity verification plus a criminal record check for pet care only. Certifications are optional but help families choose you.

Do I need my own insurance?

Caregivers are responsible for their own insurance. GoSit does not insure caregivers as if they were employees. We will tell you what is expected for the services you offer before you are matched with bookings that need it.

How do I get paid?

You connect a payout account once. After a booking, you are paid for the time you actually worked, based on your check-in and check-out, and you can see every fee in one statement.

Can I work with more than one family?

Yes. You decide how many bookings you accept and when you are available. Nothing about GoSit stops you from working elsewhere.
